QR Code Generator

The QR Code Generator turns any link or text into a scannable QR code right in your browser, and lets you download it as a PNG in three sizes. The code is rendered locally by a library bundled with this page — no server generates it, nothing about your link is transmitted, and the resulting code never expires because it simply encodes your text. Print it, paste it into a document, or share the image directly.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Type or paste the URL or text the code should contain.
  2. Choose a PNG size: 256 for screens, 512 for documents, 1024 for print.
  3. Check the preview, then download the PNG.

Supported behavior

  • Generation is fully client-side with a bundled QR library — the page makes no network calls to build your code.
  • Error correction level M is used, so the code still scans if roughly 15% is covered or damaged.
  • Shorter content makes simpler, easier-to-scan codes; very long text creates dense codes that need larger printing.

Best for

  • Linking printed flyers, menus and packaging to a web page.
  • Sharing Wi-Fi details, contact text or payment links in person.
  • Adding scannable references to slides and documents.

Limits

  • The code encodes exactly the text you give it — test-scan the preview before printing a batch, because a typo becomes a broken code.
  • Dynamic features like scan analytics or changing the destination later require a hosted redirect service; a static code like this always points at its original text.

Privacy notes

  • The link or text you encode never leaves your device — the QR image is drawn locally on a canvas in your browser.
  • There is no record of what you encoded; the downloaded PNG is the only copy.

QR Code Generator FAQ

Do QR codes from this tool expire?

No. The code directly encodes your text or URL with no middleman service, so it works as long as the destination itself does. Nothing here can be switched off later.

What size should I download?

256 px is plenty for screens and chat. For print, pick 1024 px and scale it down in your layout — a code printed at 2–3 cm with a quiet white border scans most reliably.

Can I encode Wi-Fi passwords or contact cards?

Yes — paste the standard Wi-Fi format (WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetwork;P:YourPassword;;) or vCard text and phones will interpret the scan accordingly. This tool encodes the text; the phone does the rest.

Does the code track scans?

No. It is a static code with no redirect and no analytics. If you need scan counts, that requires a dynamic QR service, which is a different product.
