Remove Line Breaks

Remove Line Breaks undoes the hard wrapping that PDFs, emails and terminals bake into text, joining chopped lines back into flowing paragraphs. Replace each break with a space for prose, or with nothing for data that was split mid-token. If your text has real paragraphs, keep paragraph breaks on: single breaks are joined while blank-line separations survive untouched.

How to use Remove Line Breaks

  1. Paste your hard-wrapped text into the box.
  2. Choose the replacement: a space, or nothing.
  3. Turn on 'Keep paragraph breaks' if blank lines mark real paragraphs.
  4. Copy the joined text from the result box.

Supported behavior

  • Every line break (LF or CRLF) is replaced by your chosen separator.
  • With paragraph breaks kept, two or more consecutive breaks stay as one blank line.
  • Leading and trailing whitespace of the whole text is trimmed in the result.

Best for

  • Reflowing PDF copy into editable paragraphs.
  • Preparing text for tools that treat each line as a separate record.
  • Joining wrapped URLs, keys or codes that were split across lines.

Limits

  • The tool cannot tell a wrapped line from a deliberate one — lists and addresses lose their structure when breaks are removed.
  • Hyphenated words split across lines ('exam- ple') keep their hyphen; fix those few cases by hand.

Privacy notes

  • Everything runs on your device: the text you type never leaves your browser.
  • Your text is rejoined in the browser — nothing is uploaded.

Remove Line Breaks FAQ

Should I replace breaks with a space or with nothing?

Use a space for prose, so words stay separated. Use nothing when the break fell in the middle of a token — a wrapped URL, a long ID, a base64 string — where a space would corrupt it.

What does 'Keep paragraph breaks' do exactly?

Single line breaks are joined, but a blank line (two or more breaks) survives as a paragraph separation. Without it, everything becomes one block.

Will it also fix the double spaces this creates?

Joining wrapped text can leave double spaces where a line ended with one. Run the result through Remove Extra Spaces for a final polish.
