Round Corners Image

Rounded corners are the difference between a screenshot that looks pasted in and one that looks designed: app icons, profile cards, blog thumbnails, and UI mockups all use them. This tool clips your image with a radius you set in pixels or percent, and exports a PNG whose corners are genuinely transparent — or filled with a color you pick, when transparency would not survive where the image is going.

How to use Round Corners Image

  1. Choose or drop a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. Set the corner radius with the slider, in percent of the shorter side or in exact pixels.
  3. Choose transparent corners, or pick a fill color for the corners instead.
  4. Process and download the PNG result.

Supported behavior

  • Output is always PNG, the common format that preserves corner transparency.
  • Radius in percent is relative to the image's shorter side; 50% gives fully rounded ends.
  • The fill-color option paints only the corner areas, never the photo itself.

Best for

  • Profile pictures and avatars for cards and apps.
  • Screenshots and mockups for presentations and docs.
  • Product thumbnails that need a softer, designed look.

Limits

  • If the rounded PNG is later converted to JPG, the transparent corners will be flattened by that conversion — keep the PNG for transparency.
  • Very large radii crop into the picture's corners; faces or text near the edges can get clipped.
  • Animated images are exported as a single still frame.

Privacy notes

  • Selected files stay on your device during processing; nothing is uploaded to a server.
  • Object URLs are revoked when previews or results are replaced.

Round Corners Image FAQ

Are the corners really transparent?

Yes, with the default setting the corner pixels are fully transparent in the PNG, so whatever sits behind the image shows through. Pick the fill option if your destination flattens transparency anyway.

Percent or pixels — which should I use?

Percent scales with the image, so it is easy for mixed sizes: 5–10% is a subtle softening. Pixels are exact — app-icon style rounding is often specified in pixels, like 40 px on a 200 px image.

Can I make a circular image?

On a square image, set the radius to 50% — the corners meet and the result is a circle. On a rectangle, 50% gives a pill shape with fully rounded short ends.
